Before buying, here's what you should know...
I purchased this KVM switch to connect a DELL tower with XP SP2 and a Mac Pro running MAC OS X Leopard. My PC 3+ years old, while my Mac Pro is pretty much new.

Poor DVI support
This KVM does not support DVI-D connections. The ports on the back of the KVM are all DVI-I, which typically is backwards compatible with DVI-D.

can't handle power losses - active ports fry on powerloss
I have just fried my second of this model. When power is lost to the unit it kills the video portion of the switch. no signal.

pricey - but a good unit
for $200, I thought this was expensive - but about the cheapest I found at the time for DVI and USB (had previously used various vga & ps/2kvm's) - I really like this unit, the features are good (albeit somewhat tricky to engage) like the ability to separate the audio from the kvm.

Requires reseting switch every-so-often
Have all my PC set to not sleep or have display sleep, even then every (approximately) couple months of regular use I have to power cycle the switch to get everything to work again.
