Product Description
The optimum use of a disc record of constant rotational speed occurs when the innermost recorded diameter is half of the outermost recorded diameter. But why worry yourself with the details. The Crosley Portable Suitcase Style Turntable plays all three speeds, 33 1/3, 45 and 75 RPM records. By the late fifties, stereo records reached a peak in the marketplace as hi-fi sound reproduction attained its largest audience to date. The portable turntable was introduced in the late 1950's and provided music lovers with a sense of independence, allowing them to easily cart their record player from one locale to another.

Customer Reviews
crosley portable record player.
The record player arrived in timely fashion. It works well, even though it works in an unorthodox way. You gotta be very careful to follow the [somewhat vague] instructions, and, above all, be patient.

Expect what you pay for
This record player was adequate for playing records, but it does seem to be made out of rather cheap parts. It was dissapointing to get it and not have it work properly from the very start.

Nostalgic
I purchased this turntable as a Christmas present for my grandchildren to play some old vinyl records they had found in the attic.

Plays albums flawlessly
I received my record player and when it came out of the box it smelled like a new car! I have been using it for a few weeks now and haven't experienced any problems in playback.

case too small to play 33 1/3 records
I bougt this as a gift to my parents for christmas-spoke to them today and they were so disappointed because the albums my son gave them as well as there own 33 1/3 records were too big and kept hitting the back of the record case when the record spun around-I don't know why no one else wrote about this but that seems to be the problem with the one I bought.
