I got mine about three years ago for a Christmas, and pretty much within first two months it did THE VERY SAME THING that other reviewers mention!!

solid multi-disc player
Although love my mp3 players and music, roots go back to vinyl and then of course cd.(i.e., listening to music through quality headphones or in front of my large JBL's) My trusty old pioneer muti-disc finally died.

Ordered subject player and received it as promised. It was a new unit in the factory box. Connected it to my speaker system and it works great.

Avoid at all costs.
Although I did buy his player a year and a half ago, I'd say I'd be lucky if I listened to 10 CD's on it in that time.
