The old Passports where crappy apparently ( go look up the original WD passports and they hare all mostly 1 star ratings ) well luckily everything that was crappy with the old ones has been fixed on the passport elites. More >>

Good Hard Drive
This hard drive is ok. Be aware that it says 640 GB but sense it comes with the software it only has about 500 GB. Im guessing the software uses the other 40 GBS? More >>

My experience with the drive I got was only OK
The drive has two partitions. The smaller partition (a little over 500 MB) shows up in Windows as a CD-ROM drive containing the WD SmartWare software for encrypting, backing up, and retrieving data; the remaining partition is for data storage. More >>
