Bought this HD last week and so far so good. It's compact, has a solid feel to it and runs really cool. I'm replacing my room heating Iomega Ego which didn't last 6 months of very light use.

Excellent portable disk drive
Open the box, plug in the USB cable, use it. It's that simple. It comes pre-formatted with the NTFS file system which is the best choice for this size external hard disk drive.

compact, easy to use
I bought this as a backup for a couple of older computers, one of which was running win2k. Even though the documentation said this external hard drive would not work with win2k it worked anyway.
