Customer Reviews
Capable but flimsy
This GPS unit turned out to be much more flimsy and fragile than most hand held GPS units I have tried.

For Geocaching, Rugged But A Little Flaky
An energy hog with its color display, the Triton 500 is nonetheless rugged and quite accurate: it seems to acquire and retain a signal in terrain where other brands frequently fail.

It could be better, but its still very good
I had a explorist 400 and had all the maps for it. I tried to use them in the triton 500 and I couldn't. I did buy a accu-terra for it to help me along.

It is just fine.
I purchased this GPSr directly from Magellan at a discounted price after sending in our old eXplorist 210. I had some serious heartburn after making the purchase because the reviews aren't very good for the unit.
