Horrible Support - The 1.2 update actually broke some features
The 1.2 patch for the 7100 model came out well over a year ago. Shortly thereafter we saw this notice:

"In the 7100 1.2 software update only, when POIs are saved as
Favorites or Recent destinations, the data for these POIs is not
stored correctly after the device is reset. More >>
