Disappointed
This is the second Garmin nuvi I purchased. The first one is nuvi 660 which serves me really well. I bought this nuvi 5000 since it is the only portable GPS unit able to connect a back up camera (and it is a Garmin). More >>

Excellent Potential - Yet Underdeveloped
Why does there seem to be no one product that offers the complete suite of features available? The 5000 is a well-made piece of hardware that feels robust and its 800 x 480 display resolution makes possible detail not commonly available elsewhere. More >>

Sub Standard Product
I purchased this Garmin Nuvi 5000 to replace an older model 670 whose speaker was malfunctioning and maps were out of date.

Almost just right
The nuvi 5000's display is great. Big is good, and it does not obstruct the windshield view much at all, as most of the mount is hidden behind the GPS. More >>
