Product Description
The Filtrete Ultra Clean Air Purifier is the perfect complement to any home comfort product set. Until now, consumers had to choose between bulky, noisy HEPA purifiers, or quiet, but much less effective, smaller designs. Now 3M has developed an air purifier that delivers maximum efficiency in one quiet, stylish, compact unit. The key to this delivery system is the combination of Filtrete filter technology and cutting edge design. This Filtrete(TM) Air Purifier offers more Air circulation and a higher dust and pollen capture rate than a comparable HEPA Air Purifier.

Soaper
No difference from FAP03-RS and FAP03-RC but price!
Yes, that is right, the $50 or so premium is completely arbitrary.
I can only guess that the "RS" version is marked up since it was reviewed by Consumer Reports.

seems to work pretty well
It is somewhat large, but it seems to work really well. quiet mode is really really quiet. essentially, from what i gather, the fan works on a minimum air flow system.

sick wife
In just 3 weeks my wife's allergy attacks have almost subsided entirely. In addition I am getting a better night's sleep as she has stopped snoreing.

Works great, only downside is that it is pretty large and filters are expensive
It works great and after using smaller air purifiers I realize that the large size is necessary. Basically, the larger the fan the more crap it can suck in at a lower (quieter) setting.
