Pays for itself in 6-12 months, how can you say no?
Buying this is a no-brainer if you're renting a modem from your cable company. Most companies charge anywhere from $3 to $6 per month to rent a modem, so buy this for ~$30 + shipping and it'll pay for itself in 6-12 months.

Great modem - save money by having your own!
I decided to buy a modem after I saw my Comcast bill had gone up (again) and it was in part due to them raising their modem leasing fee from $3 to $5 per month.
