I purchased the 3800 about a month ago from 6 ave Electronics through Amazon. I upgraded from a Sony STR-DE 897.

Great replacement receiver
Replacement in the sense that we had hurricane style rains for weeks straight and my roof leaked directly above my home theater equipment - of course!

Sonicaly 5 stars but the menu/remote drops a half star.
This unit replaces my trusty old NAD 754 simply because I needed HDMI connectivity to get to use Dolby True HD and DTS MA audio that Blu Ray provides.

Better than Nice!!
This was my dream system. I saved for it and I am enjoying it.
Nice for the money, some engineers have tested and reviewed this receiver and have said that this model performs with other models in the $10k price range.
