TMA Light Does Not Work
Tried to use the slide scanner for the first time. TMA light would not work. Received message that said it was not connected.

No problems to speak of....
I received my scanner this morning and I found the plug and play to by quite good and fairly simple. I got the drivers for Windows 7 64-bit online from HP.

The Windows 7 driver sucks!
HP just recently came out with driver version 13.0 for Windows 7 and it is lacking. There is only one descreen feature in the driver thus it will not let you descreen at 145 lpi for artwork or old postcards, etc.

Doesn't work on a MAC at all. Works intermittently on a PC
I spent three hours with HP technical support trying to make this thing work. The things they had me try were basic, like removing and then reinstalling cables, cycling power, and like.

We purchased this scanner for the purpose of scanning our slides and negatives. When we tried to scan, we kept getting an error message that stated the TMA adapter was not installed.
